What We Treat — South Surrey, BC
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a direct blow or sudden jolt to the head or body.
What it is
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a direct blow or sudden jolt to the head or body. Most people recover well — and current evidence is clear that guided, gradual activity beats strict rest for getting there.
How we treat it
After ruling out red flags, treatment follows a graded, symptom-guided return to activity, school, work, and sport. We address the systems that commonly drive lingering symptoms — the neck, the vestibular system, and exercise tolerance — with targeted treatment for each. Concussions from car accidents can be treated under your ICBC claim. If symptoms suggest anything beyond a straightforward concussion, we coordinate with your physician.
