What We Treat — South Surrey, BC
Many recurring headaches start in the neck — the joints and muscles of the upper cervical spine can refer pain into the head, and tension patterns from desk work, stress, and jaw clenching feed the cycle.
What it is
Many recurring headaches start in the neck — the joints and muscles of the upper cervical spine can refer pain into the head, and tension patterns from desk work, stress, and jaw clenching feed the cycle. Even migraines, which are neurological, often have a neck component that makes attacks more frequent or severe.
How we treat it
We assess how much of your headache is coming from the neck — often a lot. Treatment combines hands-on therapy for the upper cervical joints and muscles, dry needling where appropriate, and posture and strengthening work that reduces the daily buildup. For migraines, we work alongside your physician's management plan rather than replacing it.
