Plantar Fasciitis Treatment in South Surrey

Plantar fasciitis is irritation of the plantar fascia — the thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your foot from heel to toes.

What it is

Understanding plantar fasciitis treatment

Plantar fasciitis is irritation of the plantar fascia — the thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your foot from heel to toes. It's one of the most common causes of heel pain we see.

Common symptoms

  • Sharp heel pain, especially with the first steps in the morning
  • Pain after long periods of standing or sitting
  • Tenderness along the arch or inside of the heel
  • Pain that eases with movement but returns after rest

Common causes

  • Sudden increases in walking, running or standing time
  • Tight calves and limited ankle mobility
  • Foot mechanics that overload the fascia
  • Unsupportive footwear or hard surfaces
  • Higher body load or occupational standing

How we treat it

Our approach at Mvmt Theory

Treatment focuses on calming the irritated tissue and rebuilding its capacity: hands-on therapy and load management early on, then a progressive strengthening program for the foot and calf. We'll also assess footwear, gait, and training habits so it doesn't come back.

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. A one-on-one assessment is the right way to find out what's going on with your body.
